Analyzing Genomic Mappings with the GOLAM Framework
نویسندگان
چکیده
The huge amount of data made available by the technologies for sequencing the human genome calls for sophisticated and automated analysis techniques. In this direction, the GOLAM framework has been developed within the scope of the GenData 2020 Project to enable multiresolution analysis and mining of matches between genomic regions. In this paper we show how the GOLAM framework can be used for OLAP analysis of the mappings between regions and samples resulting from queries expressed in GMQL against repositories of genomic data. In particular we show the multidimensional schema that represents mappings and we briefly address the main research challenge implied by GOLAM, i.e., on-demand ETL.

Analyzing the Evolution of Life Science Ontologies and Mappings
Ontologies are heavily developed and used in life sciences and undergo continuous changes. However, the evolution of life science ontologies and references to them (e.g., annotations) is not well understood and has received little attention so far. We therefore propose a generic framework for analyzing both the evolution of ontologies and the evolution of ontology-related mappings, in particula...
متن کاملFixed Fuzzy Points of Fuzzy Mappings in Hausdorff Fuzzy Metric Spaces with Application
Recently, Phiangsungnoen et al. [J. Inequal. Appl. 2014:201 (2014)] studied fuzzy mappings in the framework of Hausdorff fuzzy metric spaces.Following this direction of research, we establish the existence of fixed fuzzy points of fuzzy mappings. An example is given to support the result proved herein; we also present a coincidence and common fuzzy point result. Finally, as an application of ou...
متن کاملOn the Ishikawa iteration process in CAT(0) spaces
In this paper, several $Delta$ and strong convergence theorems are established for the Ishikawa iterations for nonexpansive mappings in the framework of CAT(0) spaces. Our results extend and improve the corresponding results
متن کاملSome common fixed point theorems for Gregus type mappings
In this paper, sufficient conditions for the existence of common fixed points for a compatible pair of self maps of Gregustype in the framework of convex metric spaces have been obtained. Also, established the existence of common fixed points for a pair of compatible mappings of type (B) and consequently for compatible mappings of type (A). The proved results generalize and extend some of the w...
متن کاملStatistical Modeling of Control Flow for Speculative Helper Thread Optimization
This paper describes a framework for modeling program behavior and applies it to optimizing prescient instruction prefetch–a novel technique that uses helper threads to improve singlethreaded application performance. Spawn-target pair selection is optimized by modeling program behavior with Markov chains and analyzing them with path expression mappings. Mappings for reaching, and posteriori pro...
